Shadow-Planner

How resilient will you be if your Trust was affected by any of these headlines:

Blood stocks delivery delayed by 4 hours due to Road Traffic Accident

Rising water threatens to flood ground floor and basement of hospital

Electricity Sub-Station to be out of action for 24-48 hours

Builder cuts through medical gases supply affecting ITU patients at Foundation Trust"

Flu pandemic Imminent !!!

Unexpected situations can occur at any time, and healthcare organisations must respond quickly and in a methodical way with actions appropriate to the developing situation.

Agnentis has partnered with Office Shadow to adapt its industry leading solution for business continuity planning, Shadow Planner, to the NHS.

The NHS is increasingly dependent on technology; including IT systems, highly specialised equipment, and on third parties to enable the delivery of its services. Interruptions of any sort, whether technical, weather, terrorist or simply human error can have a serious impact on an organisation’s ability to continue to provide safe and timely care to patients. That is why resiliency is now seen as a mission critical issue, highlighted by the November 2007 NHS Resilience Symposium where David Nicholson, NHS Chief Executive, stated that the NHS had to work towards compliance with BS25999.

Shadow Planner
Shadow-Planner is a powerful suite of software applications that provides a solid platform for effective and efficient business continuity management automation, helping you to achieve organisational resiliency. The Shadow-Planner platform is the central element upon which each of these integrated applications resides with a number of facilities shared by each module. These facilities include the corporate hierarchy, task management, contact and asset database, user interface and more

Highlights
· Collect impact information from business units at any interval you wish – via simple, secure on-line questionnaires that feed directly into the Shadow-Planner database
· View processes across an organisation based on the impact of losing them
· Collect dependency information for processes/resources: People, Specialist Technology, Support Services (clinical and non-clinical), IT systems, Premises, etc.
· Automatically link to the ‘Asset Database’, showing where assets are used (no need to re-enter data – i.e. “Diagnostic Imaging – CT”, “Haematology – Blood Products”, etc.)
· Easily consider service-level definition of impacts, and define ‘Trust-level’ recovery policies based on maximum tolerable impact
· Create recovery plans for loss of a single resource - or an entire process (for specific threats that may cause the loss; i.e. flood, fire, chemical incident, vandalism, industrial action, etc.)
· Automatically link to the Business Continuity Planning module by creating recovery plan frameworks for dependent resources.
